Gonna give that fix a shot. i had this exact problem on my 8530, and indeed, updating the OS solved it! go to options/advanced options/wireless update, and follow the prompts. after that, you should be able to plug in with no problems.

First, you need an autoloader. Download the corresponding one for your device here: BB10 Autoloaders. Turn off your device, plug it into your computer and run the autoloader. It'll do its job and you should be at the setup screen!
The normal procedure is to switch off the phone, then hold the power button and volume up button until you get to the system recovery menu. I tried this several times but the phone simply restarted in its normal way.
