Sep 8, 2017 · Look in your device monitor under BATTERY and see what's draining it. the screen on the classic is very bright. I normally get 12-14 hours of moderate use. I have screen brightness all the way down and on devmonitor its always the highest battery hog.

Jun 4, 2018 · Battery's are typical only good for a couple years then they really start to show there age. If the phone is doing nothing while plugged in it could be a board issue though. If the battery is easy to change that would be the first and easiest thing to do. If that doesn't work its time for a new phone.

I initially thought that the battery capacity was degraded due to age/cycle count (I've seen this many times with laptops). However one time when the battery reached 0% I ignored it and to my surprise the phone continued to operate for hours.

Like I dropped from 10% in less than an hour. The first classic I had wouldn't do that. Its only got like 40-50 cycles on it but the phone itself is from 2014 or 15 so I'm sure the battery has degraded. I do plan on replacing it and Id like to know a good place for a replacement battery. Mainly from someone you've got one from.
