Originating as a drawing school in 1746, many of the most important Irish artists, designers and art educators have studied or taught in the college. NCAD has always been located in central Dublin, and in 1980 it relocated to the historic Liberties area.
Classes include art and design for young artists, botanical art, printmaking, fashion design, animation, 3D illustration, digital comics, painting, puppetry, game development, and much more. Classes are held weekdays; 9 a.m. - noon for morning sessions, or 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. for afternoon sessions.
