We encourage everyone to walk to the Evergreen Lake House for the traditional tree lighting along the new North Evergreen Lake Trail.
Dec 2, 2022 · We are excited to celebrate our 30th Annual Downtown Evergreen Holiday Walk Dec 2nd from 5-9PM. Main street will be closed from 5-9PM and Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride a horse drawn carriage to Evergreen Lake where they will kick off the event with our traditional tree lighting.

- Skiing!!! Skiing during a Colorado winter is an absolute no brainer, especially with Echo Mountain located a mere 30-minute drive from Evergreen in Idaho Springs.
- Ice skating and hockey on Evergreen Lake. Evergreen Lake is a year-round hub for social and sporting activities. Ice skating, hockey, and now broomball as of 2023, are huge Evergreen winter staples.
- Ice Fishing at Evergreen Lake. Fishing is not just for the warmer months! Evergreen Lake is a popular destination for ice fishing, the cold water an ideal habitat for trout, perch, sunfish, and bass.
- Sledding. Sledding is a fantastic way to spend time with your kids—it’s an ageless activity anyone can enjoy! It’s a great way to get some exercise as you hike uphill, and the snow-covered Evergreen landscapes will have you in awe as you speed down the hill laughing alongside your friends and family.
