      • RING OF FIRE is highly entertaining. It shows a different side of June Carter and Johnny Cash’s story. June’s delightful spirit and warmth are wonderfully shown by Jewel Kilcher’s performance. The sets and costumes give a good atmosphere for the story’s many time periods. However, it takes a long time to build tension.

  7. Director Allison Anders has a decent history in Television directing but this is bare bones Johnny and June. It is truly a TV Movie and while that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it certainly doesn't work for this story. A low budget, low production value TV movie with some of the worst sound editing I have ever heard made this very hard to watch.

  8. If you enjoy the 1990s martial arts movie, then "Ring of Fire" from directors Richard W. Munchkin and Rick Jacobson is definitely well-worth watching. My rating of "Ring of Fire" lands on a six out of ten stars.
