aeon flux was unique in that it didnt' try to make sense. it was not 'story driven', it was purely experimental animation. the titular character was killed in as many episodes as not, and wasn't even the primary character in some.

Aeon Flux – A Retrospective Review. Nice to see this revisited. I used to catch it on MTV late at night and I was drawn to the surreal mood that it had. The movie definitely does nothing for the animated series... I never had cable in the nineties.
