Overall The Enemy Within is a better then average made for TV movie. As I wrote this film is not in the same caliber as the original film, it still manages to present a frightening and all-too possible scenario.

The Enemy Within is a 1994 American political thriller television film directed by Jonathan Darby and written by Darryl Ponicsan and Ronald Bass. It is a remake of the 1964 film Seven Days in May, itself based on a 1962 novel, and stars Forest Whitaker, Jason Robards, Jr., Dana Delany and Sam Waterston.

A fairly well-to-do family in modern Athens is victimized by a gang of criminals and the father's response to the crime is the great dilemma of the movie. The acting is very good and the musical score is exceptional and fitting for the film.

Having Sam Waterston as your president and Jason Robards as a traitorous general is a good start, but the political thriller never really comes alive or engages.
