Aug 21, 2013 · Denis Grindel, 22, will play Jimmy Rabbitte in a stage adaptation of writer Roddy Doyle’s The Commitments, due to open at London’s Palace Theatre next month.
He is based in Dublin and London. Denis plays the lead role of ‘Declan Flynn’ the BFI funded short film “FAIRVIEW PARK” which will be screened at this year’s Galway Film Festival in the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday, July 12th.

Jan 2, 2023 · Denis Grindel, from Stranorlar, made the speech at the end of the hit musical ‘The Choir of Man.’ In it, he tells of the place where ‘the Finn runs free’ and where his mum was born, raised and ‘where we laid her down to rest.’ Denis lost his beloved mum Margaret on 30th January 2020.
