6/10. I almost turned it off, stick around for the second half! WubbaLubbaDubDub 22 January 2023. This movie starts off messy. The story, acting, characters, felt so poorly created as a horror fan I couldn't see its value. But after we get comfortable in the morgue and the chase is on it picks up.
Play Dead is a 2022 American horror thriller film directed by Patrick Lussier and written by Simon Boyes and Adam Mason. The film stars Bailee Madison and Jerry O'Connell.The film's plot follows Criminology student Chloe (Bailee Madison) who fakes her own death to break into a morgue in order to retrieve a piece of evidence that ties her younger brother to a crime gone wrong.

Jan 27, 2023 · Audiences are generally willing to take one big leap of faith per film, but Play Dead has two: the central premise, which asks us to believe that Madison’s character would be able to successfully sneak into the morgue in such a manner, and the large-scale conspiracy necessary to set up the rest of the film. The result will strain credibility even for the most forgiving audiences.
