    The Museum of Boulder

    The Boulder Historical Society established the original museum in 1944. In the following years, a county vote was passed to preserve, collect, and protect the region's history. The museum occupied the 2nd floor of a school in the center of Boulder. Until 1985, the museum received its permanent location in the Harbeck House located on University Hill. Guests can learn about the history of Boulder by examining 45,000 historical documents, photographs, and exhibits.
