When George Best Played for the LA Aztecs they opened a Bar in Hermosa Beach Southern California called Bestie's. It's still there, now called the Underground.
Mar 17, 2017 · After the Aztec games, the players and fans would all go to a bar in Hermosa. We saw an opportunity so George, Bobby McAlinden and myself bought an old beer and wine bar in Hermosa Beach called Hard Times Tavern, spruced it up, got a liquor license and called it Bestie’s.

In 1977, George Best, Bobby McAlinden and I bought a bar - The Hard Times Tavern - in Hermosa Beach in LA and changed the name to Bestie's. When the League folded in the early 80’s I had to make a decision - go back to England or stay in the US.
