- About Us
St Catherine's College (colloquially called St Catz or Catz) is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. In 1974, it was also one of the first men's colleges to admit women.
St Catherine’s College is the largest college within Oxford University and teaches both undergraduate and graduate students. Although one of the youngest Oxford Colleges, we can trace our roots back to 1868, when a ‘Delegacy for Non-Collegiate Students’ was formed.
St Catherine's College (Catz) is Oxford’s youngest undergraduate college and one of its largest and most diverse communities. We treasure the traditional values of Oxford college life, but pursue a distinctly modern agenda.
St Catz is an open college, and welcomes visitors throughout the year. Situated towards the east of Oxford, on the bank of the river Cherwell, it is a short walk from Oxford City Centre.
St Catherine's College (referred to informally as 'Catz') has one of the largest graduate intakes of the colleges admitting both undergraduates and graduates, and since its foundation has sought to integrate graduates closely into the academic and social life of the college.
