Quigley Preparatory Seminary South was a Catholic high school administered by the Archdiocese of Chicago from 1961 through 1990. Quigley South was located at 7740 South Western Avenue on the South Side of Chicago. Quigley North and Quigley South were both named to honor James Edward Quigley, Archbishop of Chicago from 1903 to 1915.

Mar 2, 2022 · The Quigley South boy’s soccer program gained the best “State” conpetition recognition. The Soccer program won four Sectional titles, two District titles, and a Regional title. The four Sectional titles all placed Quigley South in the ELITE 8 for that particular year.
In the days after students and staff at Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary found out that this year will be the school’s last, the business of teaching and learning, praying and serving, went on.

Nov 17, 2021 · Ordained a priest in 1967, Bishop Gerald Kicanas served as rector, principal and dean of formation at Quigley South before being named rector of the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary in 1984. In 1995, he was appointed an auxiliary bishop of Chicago.
