John McKay (2 May 1883 – 4 October 1964) was a British Labour politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Wallsend between 1945 and 1964. McKay was born in Addison, near Blaydon, County Durham, the third child of Agnes (née O'Neil) and Peter McKay, a coalminer.
The Honourable John McKay was first elected as Member of Parliament in 1997. He was re-elected in September 2021 to serve his ninth term in the House of Commons.

He is the Liberal Member of Parliament for the riding of Scarborough-Guildwood. McKay was Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance from 2003 to 2006 during the government of Paul Martin, then served as an opposition MP and critic until November 2015 during the government of Stephen Harper.
