A foolish princess wants to marry a good-looking lad who, of course, is in love with just a simple girl. The plot thickens with the inclusion of a benevolent dragon and a malevolent neighbouring king (acted by a popular Czech singer Daniel Hůlka).
Thanks to the magical gifts (a warrior’s command, a plate on which there is plenty of cake, and a cloak that makes invisible anyone who takes cover in it), Honzovi overwhelms a dreadful dragon, but instead of rewarding he meets only the intrigues of the sovereign and his spoiled daughters.
