Mar 19, 2021 · "Rose Plays Julie" is a sparsely populated film, giving the impression that Rose, Ellen, and Peter are charging towards one another on a vast and empty battlefield. Skelly is both beautifully expressive—her eyes and voice drawing you in—and very hard to read.
It's during a term studying animal euthanasia that veterinary student Rose ( Ann Skelly) decides to contact Ellen ( Orla Brady ), the birth mother who gave her up for adoption. But Ellen, who is now a successful London-based actress, doesn't want to know. Undeterred, Rose will not be ignored.
Rose (Ann Skelly), who was adopted, wants to find her birth mother - but Ellen (Orla Brady) has to reveal a secret that Rose never anticipated. Rentals include 30 days to start watching this video and 48 hours to finish once started.
