Keep Punching is a 1939 film about boxing. Its primary character is Henry Armstrong (born Henry Jackson). [1] Unlike most films of the era, its cast was composed entirely of African Americans. The film includes Whitey's Lindy Hoppers performing the much imitated Big Apple Routine. [3]
Two queer lovers tackle the patriarchy, one punch at a time, in this fierce short, which follows a young boxer from Manali who aspires to qualify for the national team. Kirnay Bhatt makes a promising directorial debut that tackles how women claim their own space in a conservative society.
