Ken, a WWII GI, returns home after he's paralyzed in battle. Residing in the paraplegic ward of a veteran's hospital and embittered by his condition, he refuses to see his fiancée and sinks into a solitary world of hatred and hostility.
A war wound has left ex-GI Ken paralyzed below the waist. In the hospital back home, he passes through an initial period of depression with the help of sympathetic Dr. Brock and his faithful fiancée Ellen.
Synopsis. After he is paralyzed from the waist down while serving during World War II, Army Lt. Ken "Bud" Wilozek is sent to the paraplegic ward at a hospital in his hometown.
