Hugo Wilhelm Friedhofer (May 3, 1901 – May 17, 1981) was an American composer and cellist best known for his motion picture scores.
Hugo Friedhofer (1901-1981) was a prolific and versatile film composer who orchestrated and arranged scores for many Hollywood classics. He won an Oscar for The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) and was nominated eight times, but also faced self-doubt and anxiety.
