  2. St Hugh's is a large and diverse college with a radical tradition of opening Oxford to all who would do well here. It offers accommodation, library, catering, gym, bar, chapel and multi-faith prayer room, and 24/7 access to the Bodleian Reading Room.

  3. St Hugh's College is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. It is located on a 14.5-acre (5.9-hectare) site on St Margaret's Road, to the north of the city centre. [2] . It was founded in 1886 by Elizabeth Wordsworth as a women's college, and accepted its first male students in its centenary year in 1986.

    The college has a large and well-stocked library, with 24-hour access and a good amount of study space. In addition to this, the China Centre (on-site) houses the Bodleian K B Chen Library, open to all students. All student rooms have network connections and the MCR has its own computer room; the college provides extensive IT support services.

    The college's gardens and croquet lawn offer a great space for a range of activities (from picnics to Frisbee). Other sports are catered for at the college's ground, only a few minutes away by bicycle. The college has a shared boathouse, squash court and its own on-site gym, and there are also several music rooms and a number of pianos.

    The college welcomes applications from disabled students. The college has a limited number of study bedrooms with disabled access, including an adapted studio room in the Dickson Poon Building, and can make adjustments wherever necessary. Please contact the college about any accessibility requirements.

    St Hugh's Middle Common Room (MCR)plays an active role in college life, organising social activities throughout the year. The MCR participates in college sporting, musical and dramatic events, and sends representatives to relevant college committees.
