Alan Reed (born Herbert Theodore Bergman; August 20, 1907 – June 14, 1977) was an American actor, best known as the original voice of Fred Flintstone on The Flintstones and various spinoff series.
Alan Reed was a versatile actor who appeared in films, radio, TV and theater. He is best known for voicing the prehistoric cartoon character Fred Flintstone on The Flintstones (1960-1966) and coining the catchphrase "Yabba dabba doo!"
