She is best known for her work as a screenwriter and executive producer on the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003).

Marti Noxon will make her feature directorial debut with film To The Bone. The project, which she also wrote, will premiere in competition at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2017.
