Joseph Herman Pasternak (born József Paszternák; September 19, 1901 – September 13, 1991) was a Hungarian-American film producer in Hollywood.
Joe Pasternak was a Hungarian-born Hollywood filmmaker who produced and directed many successful musicals and operettas, featuring stars like Deanna Durbin, Marlene Dietrich, Esther Williams and Elvis Presley. He also produced the Academy Awards ceremonies and was related to the author of Doctor Zhivago.

Joe Pasternack III (born April 15, 1977) is an American college basketball coach. He is the current head coach of the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, having been appointed to the position in March 2017. Pasternack served for four years (2007–11) as the head coach of the New Orleans Privateers.
