Myron Selznick (1898-1944) was an American producer, production executive and talent agent, and older brother of David O. Selznick. In 1924 , he met Alfred Hitchcock during the production of The Passionate Adventure at Islington Studios in London.
Hitchcock happened to be represented by Myron Selznick, the most powerful agent in the business, who annoyed his younger brother by shopping Hitchcock around the studios before the deal was closed.
Selznick raised the initial funding of US$400,000 in Los Angeles, with half of that amount coming from his brother Myron Selznick, a Hollywood agent, and the other half from MGM production chief Irving Thalberg and his wife actress Norma Shearer.
