Ron Daniels was born and brought up in Brazil. He is a former artistic director of The Other Place, the Royal Shakespeare Company's studio theatre before it was rebuilt (twice). He was named an Honorary Associate Artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company, having worked with them for 15 years.
