Elsa Kvamme has been an active part of Norwegian cultural life since the 1970s. She began as an acting student at the now world famous Odin Teatret, and subsequently founded Saltkompagniet, one of the first independent theatre groups in Norway.
Elsa Kvamme (født 1954) er en norsk teater-, filmskaper og forfatter. Etter videregående skolegang på Forsøksgymnaset i Oslo var Kvamme elev ved Odin Teatret i Holstebro i Danmark i perioden 1973–1975. Hun etablerte og drev friteatret Saltkompagniet i perioden 1977–1983.
