Donald Virgil Bluth ( / bluːθ / BLOOTH; born September 13, 1937) [2] is an American filmmaker, animator, and author.
Don Bluth is a renowned animator, director and producer who founded his own studio after leaving Disney. He created classic animated films such as The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail and Anastasia, and collaborated with Steven Spielberg and 20th Century Fox.
