Along the way, he had loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Oxford United FC Schalke 04 and Celtic, as he battled to displace Seamus Coleman at Goodison.
Born a short walk away from Goodison Park, Jonjoe Kenny joined Everton’s Academy at the age of nine. His versatility and composure on the ball saw him deployed at full-back, centre-back and in central midfield, progressing through the ranks.
