I thought they were different bodies, but I've just done a search and the Trustatrader site seems to have my local council's Trading Standards in their web address.

Hi all, the BBC has recently done an investigation piece where they approached several 'Trusted Trader' websites to see if they could get a fake handyman approved. They managed to get onto Rated People and MyBuilder without any checks at all.

Forgive me stating the obvious, but my experience with the Which Trusted Trader is no different to what can, and will, happen with Trustatrader. You may ask why did I get involved in a dispute? The answer is the OAP was a family member. Fleecing OAP's happens with these schemes - but not to my family!
Sep 6, 2019 · This has been an issue historically with our system but hadn't been doing this for several month prior to the install. Anyway, the same plumber has quoted £360 (inc VAT) for the replacement of a 3 port valve to sort the issue. I assume this includes draining down the system, the fitting of the valve, and the cost of the valve itself.

Dec 24, 2022 · I wouldn't take the answers from the traders answers as gospel though! In my case I have obtain an MSDN licence, so basically somebody somewhere has an MSDN subscription tied to my licence - see the "MSDNR_Retail edition" below. So although it is not a volume licence and is a "genuine" individual licence, it clearly does not belong to me!
Mar 13, 2017 · Barclays payees disappearing after about 13 months is a design feature (as far as I know unique to Barclays). I find it annoying and have in the past (for transfers to my own accounts) set up £1 standing orders annually to keep the payee alive on their system. You can use the same payee list for one-off payments and sto's.
