  1. Feb 11, 2021 · Lichess uses the Glicko-2 algorithm with an initial rating of 1500. Neither of them uses the Elo algorithm ( not ELO - it's not an abbreviation). Furthermore, it doesn't make sense to compare the ratings even if both sites used the same system, as they have different player pools.

  2. Jan 9, 2020 · 4. I'm not sure if it's called friends or just users I am following. When I press on my profile there's a section which allows me to see the users that are following me but I'm looking for the one's I'm following in a list. I can also just search the username and it suggests them from the drop down search bar but I'm looking for a list of all ...

  3. Oct 25, 2022 · (This is indicated by the "?" after the 875.) Because White's rating was considered unreliable but Black's was reliable, White was going to gain or lose many points, and Black was going to gain or lose few points. This is a feature of the Glicko-2 rating system used by lichess. According to their FAQ:

  4. May 4, 2019 · A computer analysis of a game in Lichess lists your "inaccuracies", "mistakes", and "blunders". An example is below: What I don't understand is why Lichess doesn't point out my good moves. It seems there is some inherent problem identifying strong moves, which is not present when pointing out poor moves.

  5. Jun 4, 2020 · The lichess stockfish bots only have 8 discrete difficulty options and do not surface where on the actual stockfish difficulty setting scale from 1-20 they correspond to, rendering a winrate ELO analysis of them useless for the purposes of determining strength of a direct interface to the engine.

  6. Feb 14, 2015 · 6. IMO, Lichess ratings are a little bit inflated. My rating at lichess topped at ~1750 while my FIDE rating is ~1500. In comparison , chess.com is a little bit less inflated. My Standard (30 min) there is ~1600 which is about the same for the top player I could beat at my level. Share.

  7. Mar 8, 2021 · 4. I just found out that Lichess has changed the way they do puzzles. If you were to enable accessibility mode under settings, you can go straight to Lichess' puzzle page and type out your moves to solve the puzzles. The site has also provided additional information such as where the pieces are, if your move is correct if you've entered a wrong ...

  8. Nov 9, 2020 · Nov 12, 2020 at 10:30. Human stupidity isn't a particularly efficient heuristic in a typical Turing test. And the best chess engines aren't based on brute force anymore anyway, but something more akin to analysis (alphazero is a neural network). Regardless I put 'intelligent' and 'stupidity' between quotes because they are inadequate terms ...

  9. May 27, 2021 · I'm sure lichess gives higher rating than chess.com for the same player. In fact, the lichess rating is also higher than the FIDE rating. I personally know a lot of FIDE 2200 rated players achieve ~ 2600 on lichess, equivalent to GM on FIDE scale (but they are not GM). I'm personally also a few hundred ELO points behind on chess.com than lichess.

  10. Jan 25, 2023 · We need to extract all information generated from stockfish like centipawns, inaccuracies, blunders, mistakes, etc. I know you can download stockfish .exe and some gui to use it with. But we need to run it on large number of existing pgns in an automated manner preferably using python. Stockfish itself is a command line program so I suspect it ...
