1 day ago · This is one of my favorite acoustic blues guitar moves for the first few bars of the 12 bar blues form… It uses some little chords and inversions in the key of E (using E7)… And keeps the bass going using “thumping” bass on the quarter note pulse with the thumb. He used an overdrive pedal and ran his amps hot to achieve the sustain that he needed. Jeff didn’t use a pick, which provided a fatter sound and probably aided his mastery of the Strat’s controls.
