1 day ago · I then tried to create a boot disk for an older OS like El Capitan, but my newish MacBook Pro won't allow me to run the Install.pkg of the older OS to create a boot disk. So I'm now stuck with a bricked iMac. The recovery disk can't install the OS, and I can't create an external boot disk that either the iMac or my own Mac supports.
Sep 23, 2024 · Lost Paper Tape. No ‘Show Paper Tape’ in Window dropdown. Menu at top is different than it’s always been, less headings. Calculator now displays all “+” and “x” (all math symbols used) between numbers on readout at top. And on completion of calculation, readout shows every “+” and “x” used above total.
Oct 12, 2024 · There have been a few calculator threads on here. I'm not happy with the new calculator either. I switched to PCalc ($10 on the app store); no regrets, the only downside may be that it is so customizable that I sort of had options overload when looking at the settings menu for the first time.
Sep 26, 2024 · Adding to the long list of weird decision-making from the Cupertino giant is the removal of the Calculator app from the touch bar. To be fair, this used to be one of the very few apps that actually made excellent use of the Touch Bar. Moreover, having the calculator function keys directly above the numbers spelled out the ease of convenience.
