The whole polemic here is about the new tuta.com domain allegedly allowing impersonation of Tutanota customers. Because your.name@tutanota.com is "almost identical" to your.name@tuta.com. As you said. This is a non-existent risk and a made-up threat, as has been explained many times on r/tutanota, by Tutanota itself (now Tuta) and Tuta users alike.

Nov 25, 2023 · Tuta had released a working encrypted calendar way before Proton but things just slowed right down and it's been mostly a circle jerk of reworking the offerings and such. My honest advice to OP as a 9 year user of Tuta - u/AudioBabble get your own domain and regain control.
Dec 11, 2022 · Protonmail. Proton Mail has a nicer interface, more complete feature set, PGP support and a Tor onion. And Proton has a bridge for users who would prefer to use it with standard third party open source mail clients. I am a user of Tutanota (premium + 20 aliases) for almost a year now and I am very happy.
Dec 1, 2023 · Done. It will take like 3 or 4 hours but it feels better. One layer gone. Plus if your @tuta.com is your main and subscription then you can use it fully. Your old tutanota email can be exported and keep offline for archive. You can't yet import yet back into tuta but you can have it for reading later. My two cents.
