Jun 13, 2024 · Needle valves are often the first part to wear out on a Stromberg. If your carbs are of unknown mileage, definitely replace them. The brief run-on dieseling sounds like an early sign of wear. If you plan to drive your Alpine a lot, look for Grouse Jets, a slightly different design. They last longer.
