Yes. Quite suprisingly it had a strong start. If you aren't totally despised by the idea of a fun and games Cartoon star wars show that doesnt take itself seriously. The visuals are nice and in this one the slapstick works way better than in rebels or tcw.
Nov 29, 2019 · It is a kids show, but it does have some cool canon information, especially about how the state of the galaxy is during the sequel trilogy. Clone Wars is kiddy compared to RotS. Rebels is kiddy compared to Clone Wars. Resistance continues the trend and is even more kid oriented than even rebels.
Resistance has helped a lot with explaining the first order. Just bought a Fireball for Star Wars X-wing and now trying to make some rules to run a race. Funny though, if you put the Fireball's sunlight engines in a ship with the Millennium Falcon's hyperdrive, your chance of going anywhere has to be the worst of any ship around.

Apr 21, 2022 · The setting gives me Stargate Atlantis vibes. Wish it's art style was closer to TCW and Rebels, it took a bit of getting used to. Underrated but not nearly as good as the previous two Star Wars animated series. As boring as nascar without the anticipation of a firy crash to break up the constant turning to the left.

May 23, 2020 · It comes down to one simple difference that makes the two very different. The rebels are fighting back against the ruling power of the galaxy. The Resistance is fighting to stop the first order from becoming that galactic power. This is something that a lot of people don’t get. The first order is never in charge.
Jun 6, 2021 · Resistance was mainly filler episodes that widened the Universe of Star Wars (which I always appreciate). As far as characters go, they aren’t bad. And for a kids show, I feel like they do a well enough job. But you just have to be a little patient, forgiving and open minded.
Nov 27, 2022 · It's worth giving it a try it's not that long if you're watching everything else already. It's incredibly self-contained, to it's benefit of having a concise setting and character slate but also to it's detriment because it never really feels like watching it matters if i don't get sold on the cast.
Jan 19, 2022 · Not sure what you mean; Star Wars has always been made for kids. But Resistance is more slapstick. Season 2 has darker moments, though, including an episode at a Sith temple. Not really, back when A New Hope came out (before it was even called that of course) the PG rating included modern PG as well as PG-13.
