Oct 12, 2020 · John Carpenter's films have a really eerie and spooky atmosphere, helped by excellent soundtracks which he often helped compose. They also capture this sense of isolation and hopelessness which I find a lot more creepy than the stuff Craven directed.

Sep 24, 2024 · He's obviously a good to great director but he doesn't seem to value his own work and looks at the process of making movies very flippantly at times. I respect the stance that movies are simply products and directing them is ultimately just a job, like you'd hear from someone like John Carpenter, but Cameron has a worse version of that.
