Oct 25, 2024 · The film was called "Pierrepoint: The Last Hangman" for its American release, I suppose in an attempt to capture cinema-goers' attention. The title is, however, fallacious. Not only have there been countless hangmen around the world since Pierrepoint, he wasn't even the last British hangman.
