Remember, Gargoyle is only the Front-End GUI This is still OpenWRT underneath, so once its supported by OpenWRT, it will probably be supported on a future build by Gargoyle once Eric compiles in the new support to the firmware. For supported routers - easiest is to check OpenWRT and look and see which ones are going to be supported by Backfire.
Nov 28, 2018 · The 1.10 is the last stable version. Like I said, it worked great for me on the Archer C7 v2 until I upgraded my cable speed. I tried DD-wrt on the C7 too but preferred Gargoyle. Jan 15, 2023 · Gargoyle 1.15.x (eventually released a 1.14) is based on OpenWrt 22.03, which is a significant leap forward from 19.07 for 1.13.x. This is the first "stable beta" (if there is such a thing) which includes all images generated, and a few new targets/profiles. - mvebu devices are disabled for this release due to an issue upstream.

It has migrated to ath79 which i think does not automatically detect larger flash/ram, so you will need to compile your own firmware. No, you cannot install Gargoyle as a package on OpenWrt.
Apr 6, 2009 · Do you know can we use factory image files from OpenWRT wiki to reflash back the gargoyle firmware to the stock TP-Link WDR3600 (if want to revert back to stock/or reflash other open firmware) or it use different image firmware?
Mar 11, 2019 · The archives contain the images and packages generated from experimental bcm27xx (aka RaspberryPi) target configurations for Gargoyle 1.15.x. The source was from Gargoyle's git repository base_on_openwrt_2203 branch at commit 1bd0d80a. In order to pick up recent OpenWrt security fixes etc, I updated build.sh to use OpenWrt 22.03 commit 3fd3d99e.
Feb 20, 2013 · To get it running you must: 1º) Unzip the file wifionoff.sh.gz. 2º) Copy wifionoff.sh to /usr/bin/ on your router. 3º) Give execute permission to the script with: chmod +x wifionoff.sh. 4º) Copy the following code and paste it in your /etc/config/system file. Code: Select all. config button 'wifionoff'.
