If anyone wants an electronic copy of a particular stone, drop me a line and I can email one out. A few of them have no stone and are only commemorated on the Memorial wall.

Jun 17, 2024 · Sergeant in the RMLI, PLY/8707, he was taken in 1914 during the defence of Antwerp. He died of heart "weakness" on 24/02/1915, so 2 months ish after being taken. He had been in since 1897 and had served in the Boxer rebellion in 1900. Many thanks.

Jan 21, 2023 · On the night of 29/30 Jun 1915, 41 Inf Bde (including 7/KRRC) relieved 43 Inf Bde in the front line. 41 Bde HQ was established on the YPRES RAMPARTS and its battalions deployed with 8/Rifle Brigade (RB) in the N, 7/KRRC in the centre and 7/RB in the S. 8/KRRC were held in reserve back in YPRES.

Feb 16, 2014 · I've found most of the names (i.e. established a link with Market Weighton) on our memorial roll of honour. One name that I haven't signed off is Frank Keogh. A Frank Keogh joined the Wagoners Special Reserve in January 1914 (attested in Market Weighton). His MIC seems to show he was killed 15/11/1918 (see below). Can anyone explain ?
