But in his early years on television he was the complete opposite, a real innovator, and a very underrated wordsmith who, at his best, could rival the likes of Ronnie Barker.

  9. Dec 28, 2006 · No, honestly, the breakfast sketch is a direct rip from a Benny Hill show from the 50s/60s. There's no 'unlikely' about it. I didn't intend to offend anybody who was a fan of M&W, and nor is it supposed to be about BH being better than M&W, but the fact is that the breakfast sketch is known as a M&W sketch.
