I love Artie Lange. Artie is why I first fell in love with The Howard Stern Show. He was the Italian blue collar working mans comedian from New York. Like a character out of some mafia movie come to life. His interactions with whack packers and show staff are legendary. His relationship with Eric the Actor was especially entertaining.

Feb 2, 2023 · Artie blew all the opportunities that came his way, almost purposely, and I doubt he has many regrets about any of it. I agree with some of that. Artie had a huge case of imposter syndrome not to mention a tremendous guilt for his success and money. He also romanticizes dark shit like loneliness, drugs, and regret.
Yeah. I put sober companion in quotes because most of the Stern Show listeners (and SS staff) knew he wasn’t a real sober companion and that Artie had no intention of getting clean when he hired him. He was Artie’s friend who was a disgraced police officer that Art called “the bad cop”. I really hope Artie stays clean.

Dec 9, 2018 · No more or less creative than your typical junkie lies. Whenever Artie mentions "some broad" a lie is sure to follow, it's his "go-to" excuse for many things. I used to like Artie but disgusting junkie Artie makes me gag with disgust. Yeah, I'm sure that's it. Drug tests in court today show this was a lie....
Jan 8, 2015 · If it was, a much, much bigger stink would have been made: "Artie Lange fired for being diabetic! Oh, the humanity!". The ratings probably weren't good enough to put up with his "sick" days and various "episodes" of one kind or another, but I think they would have at least let him play out the string if he had been reliable and sober throughout the show's run.
