  1. I love Artie Lange. Artie is why I first fell in love with The Howard Stern Show. He was the Italian blue collar working mans comedian from New York. Like a character out of some mafia movie come to life. His interactions with whack packers and show staff are legendary. His relationship with Eric the Actor was especially entertaining.

  2. r/artielange: Artie Lange. And, ya know, I know that sounds a little harsh, but I love the guy. Ya know, He gets out on the intranet and stalks these women and throws out this web of deceit and sleaziness and hair dye and bad coke, whiskey beer breath, cheap fucking target shirts, coupons for Sizzler's 2 for 1 steak on a Wednesday.

  3. Feb 2, 2023 · Artie blew all the opportunities that came his way, almost purposely, and I doubt he has many regrets about any of it. I agree with some of that. Artie had a huge case of imposter syndrome not to mention a tremendous guilt for his success and money. He also romanticizes dark shit like loneliness, drugs, and regret.

  4. Yeah. I put sober companion in quotes because most of the Stern Show listeners (and SS staff) knew he wasn’t a real sober companion and that Artie had no intention of getting clean when he hired him. He was Artie’s friend who was a disgraced police officer that Art called “the bad cop”. I really hope Artie stays clean.

You might recognize me from The Howard Stern Show, my twitter account @artiequitter, two bestselling books, or my latest comedy special on Comedy Central "The Stench of Failure." AMA.

  6. what episode did artie go dark, like talk about how his liver doesn't have long. It used to be on YouTube as, "artie gets dark on his podcast" or something like that, but got taken down. He starts off being depressed and saying his liver is going to die, he doesn't have long to live, but everyone came to the show to laugh (lol) and so to start ...

  7. The Mad TV writers only found him funny when he was playing a fat degenerate (himself) on stage. Furthermore, Artie was his funniest on the Stern show when he was asleep in the studio, drunk off his ass in Vegas, or in the midst of a drug fueled fight with a staffer. Whenever Artie is trying to be funny, (at a comedy club, or on the show) he ...

  8. Dec 9, 2018 · No more or less creative than your typical junkie lies. Whenever Artie mentions "some broad" a lie is sure to follow, it's his "go-to" excuse for many things. I used to like Artie but disgusting junkie Artie makes me gag with disgust. Yeah, I'm sure that's it. Drug tests in court today show this was a lie....

  9. Jan 8, 2015 · If it was, a much, much bigger stink would have been made: "Artie Lange fired for being diabetic! Oh, the humanity!". The ratings probably weren't good enough to put up with his "sick" days and various "episodes" of one kind or another, but I think they would have at least let him play out the string if he had been reliable and sober throughout the show's run.
