  7. Apr 24, 2024 · All you can do is what you did.... and give it time. I'd remove the new battery and just give it a week or two to dry out. Might be a 1% chance it will eventually start to work. Also you need to make sure your "new" battery isn't dead.... as that's not out of the question with the age of these.
