Jan 22, 2015 · By the release of 1973's Mystery to Me, it was understood that the driving force between much of Fleetwood Mac's material produced in the early 70s was more or less a direct cause of Christine McVie and Bob Welch, notwithstanding the mark left by Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, and to a lesser extent, Jeremy Spencer, as they all left the band one album after the other.
Buckingham's Law and Order (1981) was a moderate success, spawning the Top Ten "Trouble." Fleetwood, for his part, made a world music album called The Visitor. Fleetwood Mac reconvened in 1982 for Mirage. More conventional and accessible than Tusk, Mirage reached number one and featured the hit singles "Hold Me" and "Gypsy."
