Ang Lee is a Taiwanese-American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his films Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Brokeback Mountain (2005), and Life of Pi (2012). He has won two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and four BAFTA Awards. Lee was born on October 23, 1954 in Chaozhou Township, Taiwan.
