In an exciting development announced today, the thousands of keen runners participating in this year’s Great Eastern Run will enjoy a new, improved route for 2023, passing through the grounds of historic landmark Peterborough Cathedral.
The Great Eastern Run returns for 2024, with a fast, flat route and 5k and half marathon distances available. The traffic-free course weaves through Peterborough's city centre and past the historic cathedral, where you can be cheered on by spectators.
The Great Eastern Run is a flat half marathon around and through the centre of Peterborough and is organised by Good Running Events. The race used to be sponsored by Perkins. The main race will start and finish near the Embankment and takes in a route around Peterborough City Centre.
