Pupils in Year 11 at Wimbledon College are eligible for a place in the Sixth Form if they meet Sixth Form entry requirements. The Sixth Form welcomes applicants from other schools.

The foundation of Wimbledon College of Arts goes back to 1890, when an art class for the Rutlish School for Boys was started. Between 1904 and 1920 this was housed in the Wimbledon Technical Institute in Gladstone Road.
