This through line of institutional decision making will inform our renovation of 610; now, nearly 100 years later, the time has come for our historic building to undergo modernization to ensure all aspects of Brearley’s program benefit from dynamic and multifunctional space.
The 610 renovations will start with the library, which will move to the 10th floor, where it will accommodate almost twice as many students than the current ground-floor library.

Brearley plans to renovate 610 during the summers. For the most part, the lower school will reside in 590 and the middle and upper schools will be in 610, although older students go from building to building for different classes, particularly science classes.
