  3. I choose Newnham mainly because I wanted a comfortable work environment and somewhere I would feel at home. As well as all the facilities and the proximity to my course, I just got a really nice feeling about Newnham and after visiting several times for lectures and stuff I'm pretty sure I made the right choice.

  5. Oct 10, 2020 · Newnham College is the oldest remaining women’s college, founded in 1871, and thus has the biggest endowment and best bursaries. To be frank, this was the main reason I chose this college over the other two, Murray Edwards College and Lucy Cavendish College (which, incidentally, has just gone coed).

    Our gorgeous library was built in 1897, when pioneering women students couldn’t use the University libraries.
