When it comes to quality education, affordability and career prospects for graduates, Cal Poly Pomona consistently ranks among the best universities in the country.
That being said, Cal Poly Pomona is a fine school, and should be one of the top considerations for OP. It's extremely well-connected to the industry, and they do a great job of linking professionals in the field to students, which is crucial for career prospects.
Cal Poly Pomona may not have the best environment to socialize or attend games as UCLA might have, but for what it's worth, it's a great school to start off and end your college career with. They have other alternatives to substitute those matters with (such as Greek organizations and other clubs).

It is a well-rounded school, known as much for agriculture programs as it is for the engineering school.
