It makes a BIG difference. Never End your listing. Edit your listing in title, description and made offers for that products to compete your competitors so in this way you also generate again maximum sales of that listing. If you end your listing then its take time to create backlinking.

All you have to do is: Go to the All Selling section of My eBay (Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro Subscribers – use Active View) Find the listing you want to change. From the Actions drop down menu, click the Revise link.
From the dropdown menu, select Edit. In My eBay: 1. Go to Active in the Selling section, find the listing you'd like to revise. 2. Select Revise from More actions (see the screenshot below). 3. Make your changes, then select Revise it to save the updated listing. Or use the quick link.
